Manage widgets
Pause, resume, revoke or delete a widget, and understand its usage limits.
Every widget you create has a card under Settings → Chat widget, showing:
- its status — live, paused or revoked
- what it answers from — Microsoft knowledge base, or your customer plus the Microsoft knowledge base
- where it's allowed to run
- how many messages it has handled today
- its limits — 10/min, 300/day
Actions
| Action | Effect |

| Customise panel | Change its look and wording — see Customise. The button reads Close while the panel is open. |
| Pause / Resume | Temporarily switch it off. The snippet on your site stays in place and works again as soon as you resume. |
| Revoke | Permanently switch it off. The snippet stops working and is hidden — "This widget was revoked, permanently. Create a new widget to replace it." |
| Delete | Remove a widget that has never been used |
Revoking can't be undone. If you might want the widget back, Pause it instead.
Usage limits
Each widget can take 10 messages a minute and 300 a day across all visitors. When a limit is reached, visitors are asked to slow down or come back later. If you need higher limits, contact the Onyx team.
